All our tutors have a profound knowledge of the current study design and will provide guidance, tips and assistance to their students throughout the whole year supporting them through their SACs until the final exam.

A graduate of Trinity Grammar School in 2013, Fred attained an ATAR of 98.65. He is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Science at The University of Melbourne, majoring in Civil Engineering. As a tutor, Fred is keen to apply the knowledge and skills he has learnt through mentoring and group study programs, as well as his years of experience coaching basketball throughout high school and university. Fred is an enthusiastic and outgoing person and looks forward to tutoring in 2019!

Quentin B
Quentin graduated from Scotch College in 2014 with an ATAR of 99.30. Currently completing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne, he is majoring in Pure Mathematics and hopes to extend his studies with a Masters of Science in 2018. During his time in high school, Quentin honed his communication skills through coaching at Fairhaven SSLC, as well as being a prefect and an avid member of the Pipes and Drums band. Alex F
Alex graduated as Dux of Woodleigh School in 2017 with an ATAR of 99.65, including a perfect study score of 50 in VCE English. He received 40+ study scores in 6 out of his 7 subjects, including in Further Mathematics (49) and Music Investigation (48). Alex is currently studying a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) and Diploma of French at Melbourne University. When he’s not performing in shows or playing instruments around the house, you can normally find him instructing, coaching, and sailing out on Port Phillip Bay! However, he’s looking forward to doing some tutoring on dry land and sharing his love of Maths and English with his students.

Alex graduated form Sydney Grammar School in 2017 with an ATAR of 98.05, achieving 92 in Extension 2 Mathematics, 95 in Extension 1 Mathematics, 92 in Physics, and an All-Rounder's award for academic achievement in all subjects. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Science and a Diploma of Music at the University of Melbourne majoring in Data Science. As Alex continues to learn mathematics himself his love for the subject grows. As such when Alex tutors, fostering enjoyment and excitement as well as results is of a great importance. On top of Alex's previous experience tutoring, he also conducts a variety of musical ensembles has allowed his communication skills to flourish.

Anthony graduated from De La Salle College in 2017, achieving an ATAR of 99.15. He is currently studying Engineering at Monash University, whilst tutoring individuals part-time. Anthony is passionate about learning and teaching, he endeavours to show his students the enjoyable yet interesting side to grasping new concepts. Achieving 47 (top 0.5% of students), 46 (top 1% of students) and 40 (top 8% of students) in Physics, English and Maths Methods respectively, Anthony specialises in the areas, and is furthering his studies through his course. Anthony aims to help students improve by first showing them what is required for progress, then accompanying each student to become better and achieve their goals.

Matthew S
Matthew graduated as dux from Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School in 2014 with a perfect ATAR of 99.95. He achieved perfect study scores in Chemistry and English alongside other achievements, notably a Premier's award in English, a VCE all-rounder award, and an Australian Student award. He has also been invited to attend the International Mathematical Olympiad training school due to his achievements in extracurricular mathematics competitions. Matthew is currently studying the Doctor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne after completing the Bachelor of Biomedicine. He is a passionate and goal-oriented tutor with 3 years of experience and is devoted to help his students achieve their personal and academic goals.

Wenyue graduated from Melbourne High School with an ATAR of 99.25 in 2016. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine and has received first class honours in Maths, Biology and Chemistry. Throughout high school he was involved in various leadership and mentoring positions. Moreover, he was an active participant in music, sport and volunteering activities. She is currently completing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and Science, majoring in Computer Science and Maths at Monash University. Rebecca has immense experience teaching high school students, having spent her gap year overseas teaching English, and currently involved in leading summer and winter camps for teenagers in Australia and New Zealand. She has tutored maths for the past 3 years and loves joining students on their journey to develop problem solving skills in a supportive and relaxed environment. JJ graduated from Georges’ River College in Sydney in 2014, where he has achieved a score of 95/100 for Unit 3 Mathematics (equivalent to 47.5/50 for Methods), as well as 88/100 for Unit 4 Mathematics (equivalent to 44/50 for Specialist Maths). He has also completed his Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Melbourne, took a range of responsibilities in student clubs and has achieved the Leaders in the Community Award. Currently taking the Master of Teaching (Secondary) program at the University of Melbourne, JJ aims to provide a positive learning environment while ensuring academic excellence. He is also able to adjust his lesson plans, as well as implementing a variety of teaching strategies to suit the best needs for students with different capabilities and skills from all backgrounds. He has a deep understanding of what the students want and is able to provide and diagnose the key areas that the students may need to improve on. He has multiple years of tuition experience with great success with his students graduating with 99+ ATARs. Wendell is committed in devoting his time so that his students attain a strong understand of their subjects. Wendell believes that to attain the much coveted study scores of 40+, one must not only have a strong conceptual grasp of the course but also a familiarity with the subtleties of the exam questions. Wendell brings his wealth of experience to ensure that before any exam his students feel confident that they know all the material.

Ronan is currently studying the Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne, with an aspiration to complete either a Pharmacology or Immunology major. At university, Ronan also holds a leadership position within the Biomedicine Students Society. Whilst at St Kevin's, Ronan was a member of the 2nd VIII rowing crew through year 12 and immersed himself in debating, music and other extracurricular activities, which shifted his focus and experience towards time-management, organisation and efficiency of study.

Dave graduated high school in 2014 as the Dux of Epping Secondary College after receiving an ATAR of 97.10; the highest ATAR in his school’s history. He was the Winner of his school’s Public Speaking competition in 2011 and he won the Spirit of ANZAC competition in 2012 which gave him the utmost privilege to represent Victoria on a study trip to Gallipoli, Istanbul, Singapore and Malaysia. In 2013, Dave was elected as his school’s Debating Captain and in 2014. He also attained the highest study score in the state for Indonesian SL in 2014 making him a recipient of the State VSL award for Indonesian SL. He was also an SRC representative for 4 years in my college (2011-2014) and in 2014, he was College Captain of my High school. Last but not least, He was also a Melbourne University Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholar Class of 2014.

She has recently graduated from the University of Melbourne with a H1 average, majoring in Literature and Philosophy. Tea is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Languages at The University of Melbourne.She has had previous experience with both one-on-one tutoring and delivering lectures for larger classes. She believes this experience has made her to an be ideal teacher in being able to assure the growth of her students. She takes great pleasure in helping students realise and achieve their academic goals and she is highly passionate about maximising student potential.

Celene W
Celene graduated from The Mac.Robertson Girls’ High School in 2016, achieving an ATAR of 99.35 with 45+ study scores in English (47), History Revolutions (49), Global Politics (46) and Visual Communications of Design (45). She is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts at Melbourne University with plans to major in Sociology and Psychology. In 2016, Celene was Social Service Captain at Mac.Rob and was heavily involved in community service and volunteering. Additionally, she is passionate about art, design and received the Dean’s Art’s Visual Communications Award in 2016. As a tutor, Celene is approachable, creative-minded and eager to help foster a genuine love for learning.

Thea A
Languages are Thea's areas of interest and passion, but she is also keenly interested in critical analysis of literature, which she studied in her Arts degree majoring in English and German. This lead to an Honours, which saw an investigation into literary and cultural attitudes of Austrian society in the early 20th Century. Thea loves travelling and on exchange had the opportunity to live in countries such as France and Germany. Aside from her studies Thea is an avid sportswoman and enjoys adventuring in the outdoors. Later this year she will undertake an Engineering degree, and Thea's diverse academic background make her a welcome addition to the Apex team.

Justin R
Justin completed his VCE studies in 2014, achieving an ATAR of 96.2. He achieved a study score of 50 in Italian and received the 2015 Premier’s Award for the subject. He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Italian Studies and Politics and International Relations. He was included in the 2016 Dean’s Honours List and graduated with first class honours. Justin has completed an honour’s year in Italian studies, in which he took part in a teaching placement in Trieste, Italy, and is currently studying the Master of Teaching (Secondary) at the University of Melbourne. Justin has tutored Italian and English Language for two years and loves nothing more than to see his students improve.
