In what locations does Apex Tuition Australia provide tutoring?

Apex Tuition Australia provides in-person tutoring across Melbourne and Sydney. With our large team, we are able to service all subjects across Melbourne and Sydney. In terms of exact location, this is dependent on the students. Some students prefer home visits, while others like to do sessions at a local library or school.

How do I start tutoring?

To start tutoring with Apex, please fill out this form. One of our Operations Managers will receive and process it. They will get all the necessary details from you and then begin the process of finding the perfect tutor for you.

How much does tutoring cost?

At Apex Tuition Australia, the cost of tutoring depends on the student's age and preference of location. There are four different prices:

  • $79 per hour for Year 11 & 12 in-person tutoring
  • $72 per hour for Year 11 & 12 online tutoring
  • $69 per hour for Year 10 or below in-person tutoring
  • $62 per hour for Year 10 or below  online tutoring

Who are the tutors?

Most of our tutors are recently graduated high school students who finished in the top 3% of their subjects with a median ATAR of 99.00. Many of them have gone on to further study the subjects they tutor at university. All our tutors are passionate educators and pride themselves on their knowledge in their chosen subjects. To become a tutor with Apex, all tutors go through a rigorous application and interview process as well supply us with a valid Working With Children's Check.

How do I pay?

Before you begin tutoring, you will be asked to do two things:

  1. Register to Teachworks - our tutoring management software where you can view all past sessions, upcoming sessions and your invoices/payments
  2. Set up a direct debit with Stripe

If you do not want to set up a direct debit, please alert us and our Finance team will provide alternatives.

Do your tutors know the current curriclum?

Yes, all of our tutors are familiar with the current curriculum. We recognise how important it is that your tutor is an expert in the curriculum they are teaching.

We will always match:

  • VCE students with tutors who completed the VCE
  • HSC students with tutors who completed the HSC
  • IB students with tutors who completed the IB

For younger year levels, we will endeavour to find a tutor who has completed the same course but this is less vital.

How can I contact my tutor?

Communication with the tutor is very easy. The tutor will make contact with you and then you are free to communicate with the tutor in whatever way works best. Our Operations team is also always here to help if you need any assistance.

Is there a free trial?
