Tom is currently studying post-graduate Medicine at Flinders University. Prior to Medicine, he undertook a Bachelor of Science, with a dual major in Genetics, as well as Geology. He undertook these courses concurrently between the University of Adelaide, and Flinders University. In addition to his undergraduate studies, Tom completed an honours project (awarded Honours First-Class (high distinction)) in Precision Medicine and Pharmacogenomics. Throughout his undergraduate studies, Tom has maintained scores at Distinction, or High Distinction level in the hard and natural sciences. He also maintains a Distinction average in Medicine. Despite Tom's clear interest in the sciences, Tom is strongest in English, for which he was a consistent top 5% student in the graduate medical school admissions test. He also has a proven, distinction-average interest in maths and history, which is an area he has unfortunately not been able to explore as much as he would like during his studies. Outside of academia, Tom enjoys a variety of interests. A former player of football, tennis, and cricket, Tom enjoys staying physically fit, active, and healthy, as he works out approximately 6 times per week.
