Absolutely! Students are able to choose online or in-person tutoring. We serve our customers in what ever way best works for them.

Most of our tutors are recently graduated high school students who finished in the top 3% of their subjects with a median ATAR of 99.00. Many of them have gone on to further study the subjects they tutor at university. All our tutors are passionate educators and pride themselves on their knowledge in their chosen subjects. To become a tutor with Apex, all tutors go through a rigorous application and interview process as well supply us with a valid Working With Children's Check.

We also have qualified teachers who work with us as part of our professional service. Our professional tutoring service options includes qualified teachers with experience teaching in Australia as well as the our top tutors in the country who received excellent marks (minimum 99.00 ATAR), have 5+ years tutoring experience, 500+ hours of tutoring and received 50+ five-star reviews.

Before you begin tutoring, you will be asked to do two things:

1. Register to Teachworks - our tutoring management software where you can view all past sessions, upcoming sessions and your invoices/payments
2. Set up a direct debit with Stripe

If you do not want to set up a direct debit, please alert us and our Finance team will provide alternative payment options.

Yes, we offer a discount for customers who want to purchase multiple lessons up-front. The size of the discount changes based on the number of lessons purchased:

• 2.5% discount for 10-20 hours
• 5.0% discount for 21 - 30 hours
• 7.5% discount for 31 - 50 hours
• 10.0% discount for 51+ hours

Stopping tutoring is super easy. There are no lock-in contracts or extra fees so you can stop whenever you would like. If you do decide to stop, please let us know so that we can update our records.

Of course! Sometimes, the learning styles or the personalities of the tutor and the student do not match. In these instances, we will find you a replacement tutor right away.

Yes, all of our tutors are familiar with the current curriculum. We recognise how important it is that your tutor is an expert in the curriculum they are teaching. Either the tutor would have completed the same subject at school as the student via our academic tutoring service or the tutor will be a qualified teacher with experience teaching the subject via our professional service tier.

Each curriculum in Australia is slightly different and has its own nuances that are important for the tutor to know. We will always endeavour to match you with a tutor who is intimately familiar with the curriculum your child is completing.

At the moment, we have tutors who have completed the VCE, HSC, QCE, SACE, WACE and IB.

For younger year levels, we will endeavour to find a tutor who has completed the same course but this is less vital.
