Founder - Nicolas Hirons
Nick graduated in 2011 from Wesley College with an ATAR of 99.95 including perfect study scores in each of his six subjects in the International Baccalaureate. He was awarded the Melbourne National Scholarship and completed a Bachelor of Science in the Chancellor's Scholars Program at the University of Melbourne, with a semester abroad at the University of California, Berkeley in 2014. Nick graduated with First Class Honours, receiving the M L Urquhart Prize in Discrete Mathematics and Operations Research as top of his specialisation. Nick has five years of private tutoring experience and loves to share his passion for maths with his students in a friendly and engaging way.

Max graduated from Wesley College in 2014 with an ATAR of 99.85 completing the International Baccalaureate, in which he achieved 5 perfect scores. Currently, he is studying a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne. Max spent his first year out of school on a gap year where he participated in various forms of volunteering. This included teaching in Africa and the Middle East where he was able to develop strong communication and teaching skills. Max is an enthusiastic educator and is hoping to bring those skills he learnt overseas to help students in Australia.

Mona graduated in 2014 from Leibler Yavneh College with an ATAR of 99.45. She has now completed her Bachelor in Journalism at Monash University, with a double major in Journalism and International Studies. She was a recipient of the Monash University Scholarship for Excellence and Equity, and the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship. She also participated in the Monash Minds Leadership Program in 2015. In 2018, she has begun writing a thesis for her Journalism Honours. This year, she was awarded the Monash School of Media, Film and Journalism Honours Research Scholarship.

Finance Officer - Isobel Hymer
Isobel graduated from Wesley College in 2014 with an ATAR of 99.45 and was dux of her year for Physics, French and Chemistry. She is studying the Bachelor of Biomedicine (anatomy major) at the University of Melbourne. Whilst at Wesley College, Isobel held a number of leadership roles including Captain of Debating and Head of House. In 2012, Isobel was awarded the Kwong Lee Dow scholarship and Long Tan leadership award. She has also been involved in many debating and public speaking competitions as well as coaching younger debating teams. Isobel is also passionate about increasing education opportunities through her involvement with the Melbourne University Health Initiative as a program officer.

Eric graduated from Wesley College in 2014 with an ATAR of 99.40, receiving 5 perfect subject scores and topping his classes in IB Japanese, IB Maths and IB Higher Level Economics. In 2017, Eric graduated from the Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Economics and Finance, and will be commencing the Juris Doctor in 2018. During his time in high school, Eric held several leadership position, participated in in Melbourne University’s Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars program and was the 2014 recipient of the Australian Defence Force Long Tan Youth Leadership & Teamwork Award. Eric brings his passion for academic excellence to each student he works with, and always stresses the importance of a healthy work and play balance.

Alex graduated from SCEGGS Darlinghurst in 2011, receiving the Premier's Award for All-Round Excellence for her HSC results, including a 98 in Ancient History and an ATAR of 98.20. In 2016, Alex graduated with First Class Honours from her Bachelor of Arts (Degree with Honours) at the University of Melbourne with a double major in Politics/ International Studies and History, including an Honours thesis on American Politics. In 2017, Alex started full time work and will continue working with Apex in an advisory capacity.
