Graduating with a 99.15 from Kew High School, Aaron currently now studies Commerce at the University of Melbourne. She was awarded the Chancellors' Scholarship at the University of Melbourne. Currently, she undertakes the Doctor of Medicine at Unimelb, after graduating from Biomedicine last year (2019). Currently. Kate completed the IB Diploma amongst armadillos and iguanas after receiving a 2-year scholarship to attend the United World College (UWC) of Costa Rica. Manami is currently studying at the University of Melbourne, majoring in criminology. She was born in Japan and moved to Singapore when she was 8 years old. She graduated from the Australian International School Singapore. While she was in Singapore, she went to Japanese cram school to maintain her Japanese fluency. At the Australian International School, she studied HSC and took Japanese in Context as one of her subject. Manami topped the HSC Japanese in Context out of the whole Australia in 2018. Manami wishes to help all her students speak Japanese more confidently.
Margarita graduated from Wesley College in 2016 with an ATAR of 99.70 after having completed the IB Diploma. She achieved perfect scores in English HL, Psychology HL, Theatre HL, French SL and Physics SL. At school, Margarita complemented her academic studies with numerous co-curricular activities such as being a member of choirs, sporting teams and various committees. This year, she is beginning her studies at Melbourne University, studying a Bachelor of Commerce and majoring in economics. In 2017, Nicholas completed the IB Diploma Programme at Scotch College, Perth, receiving a perfect score of 45 points. He achieved perfect subject scores in Chemistry HL, Biology HL, Literature HL, Mathematics SL, French B SL, and Psychology SL, as well as an A in TOK and a full score in his Extended Essay in English. Having received a Melbourne National Scholarship, Nicholas began a Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne in 2018 through the Chancellor’s Scholars Program. Outside of his academic endeavours, Nicholas received an Honours award for his contributions to Scotch’s music leadership team and its ensembles, participated in the WA School’s Mock Trials Competition, represented the school in hockey, and carried out a wide variety of community service endeavours. Fully aware of the strenuous academic demands they face, Nick hopes to equip each of his students with the strategies necessary to succeed and enjoy their learning.
Rebecca graduated from Balwyn High School and is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne. Having received a study score of 46 in VCE English, Rebecca is well equipped to mentor English students who are striving for success. She has several years of tutoring experience with primary and secondary students tutoring in Maths and English. She enjoys fostering improvement and supporting students to achieve their personal goals. As a Creative Writing major, and the recipient of many writing awards for her poetry, short stories and essays, Rebecca has a passion for the study of literature and language. She wishes to pass that on to her students. Throughout high school Rebecca enjoyed being a music student, Captain of the Social Justice Committee and a Monash Scholar.
Rebecca graduated from Ballarat Clarendon College in 2017 with an ATAR of 98.50 and was dux of her cohort for Psychology (48), English (44) and Global Politics (45). She is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma in Music at The University of Melbourne. She is majoring in psychology and hopes to explore music therapy in the future. Rebecca has extensive knowledge of effective study methods and aims to help her students discover what works best for them. Having just successfully faced the challenge of VCE, Rebecca understands the stress and pressure associated with the process and hopes to take a positive, reassuring approach to tutoring whilst maximising efficiency and understanding.
Rebecca graduated from Leibler Yavneh College with an atar of 99.45, achieving the highest score for Specialist Maths in her year. She is currently completing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and Science, majoring in Computer Science and Maths at Monash University. Rebecca has immense experience teaching high school students, having spent her gap year overseas teaching English, and currently involved in leading summer and winter camps for teenagers in Australia and New Zealand. She has tutored maths for the past 3 years and loves joining students on their journey to develop problem solving skills in a supportive and relaxed environment. She believes in young adults aspiring high to achieve their full potential (especially in STEM!)
Rebekah K graduated from PLC in 2019 with a 44 (99.85 ATAR) and a perfect score in all of her subjects: English Literature HL, French B HL, Geography HL, Physics SL, Mathematics SL and Chemistry SL. She was additionally her school’s debating, soccer and athletics captains, responsibilities which she balanced whilst also working as a teacher’s assistant at a French Saturday school. Her tuition style is characterised by effective communication and a patient and empathetic nature which enhance her thorough syllabus understanding and passion for her subjects. Rebekah is studying the Bachelor of Commerce / Juris Doctor graduate degree package at the University of Melbourne. A native French speaker, she volunteers as a peer mentor for those learning French at the university.
Risa graduated from Whitsunday Anglican School with an OP 2 (ATAR 98.75), scoring well across a range of subjects including English (VHA 9), French (VHA 5), Mathematics (VHA 6) and Music (VHA 7). She is currently completing her Master of Engineering (Software) at the University of Melbourne and was awarded the Telstra Scholarship for Technology and Innovation. Risa is an enthusiastic and supportive tutor who is passionate about giving students the tools they need to succeed in their schooling. She always aims to help her students better understand their classwork, improve their results and gain confidence in their abilities.
Ruby was dux of her school with an ATAR score of 99.95, and recently received First Class Honours for her Honours thesis in history at the University of Melbourne. She was a finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship in 2019. Ruby has many years of tutoring the IB covering various subjects such as English, History, Theory of Knowledge as well as the Extended Essay. She is a friendly and patient tutor who can adapt her approach to the needs and learning styles of individual students.
Shmuli graduated from Yavneh College in 2012 with an ATAR of 99.35. Since then he has a completed a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne whilst majoring in Maths. He has gone on to study a Master of Data Science. It is safe to say that Shmuli loves Maths. He has extensive tutoring experience teaching all levels of Maths including Further, Methods and Specialist. Shmuli knows that Maths is not everyone’s favourite subject. But he wants to show everyone why he loves Maths. Shmuli prides himself on helping his students get to a point where they enjoy Maths.
Stephanie completed the IB program in Queensland, receiving a score of 43 (ATAR 99.70). She achieved perfect scores in HL Biology, HL Chemistry, SL English, SL Psychology, and Spanish ab initio. Stephanie is currently in her second year of studying Medicine at Monash University, and regularly volunteers at Ronald McDonald House Charities. She has been tutoring for a couple of years now, and is an approachable and supportive tutor who is keen to help her students gain confidence and find the strategies and study methods that work for them.
Tanya graduated as Dux from East Doncaster Secondary College with an ATAR of 99.50. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine at University of Melbourne, and will continue on to do a Doctor of Optometry. Tanya is a Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholar, and has a passion for learning which she hopes to share to her students! She loves English and Maths, and is excited to see her students reach their full potential.
Tashia graduated as the dux of Kambrya College with an ATAR of 97.60. She received the highest study scores for all her subjects (Mathematical Methods, Chemistry, German) at her school, including study scores of 46 in Psychology, 44 in English and 40 in Biology. She is currently studying the Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne. As a tutor, she strives to provide the best guidance, aid and strategies for students to excel academically. She is passionate to extend the capabilities of each student by tailoring teaching strategies to their individual needs, thus helping them achieve their academic goals.
Timothy completed IB at ACS (Independent), Singapore, in 2018 with a score of 42. He achieved a perfect score for HL Mathematics, HL Chemistry, HL Physics and SL Chinese B, and scored a 6 in SL Business and Management and SL English A: Language and Literature. Timothy is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Science with a Graduate Degree Package in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Melbourne. Timothy is a friendly and approachable tutor and does his best to ensure students fully understand the content. His passion for science and mathematics provides a strong foundation in his teaching. He contributed as an outstanding member of the Interact Rotary Club, as well as in the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. He has a passion for helping others and believes that responsibility is the key characteristic of a good tutor.
Vivien graduated from St. Margarets College in 2017 completing the IB diploma achieving a score of 41 which equates to a 98.90 ATAR. Vivien received the highest possible mark of a 7 in History, Chines and Biology. She is currently undertaking a Commerce degree at the University of Melbourne majoring in Finance. Vivien makes it her mission to ensure that all her students remain engaged and inquisitive about their learning. She encourages her students to delve deeper and ask the "how" and "why" of things. She strives to make her tutorial sessions enjoyable and she has found that this is a very powerful tool in helping students take charge of their learning.
