Clara Furness is a graduate from the University of Queensland’s Bachelor of Science program, majoring in Earth Science and Chemistry with first-class Honours. She was awarded Valedictorian for her graduating cohort in July 2026 and aims to pursue a PhD in Earth Science in 2027. Clara achieved an ATAR of 98.45 in her QCE studies, with a 100% grade in English and a 92% in Chemistry and 91% in Biology. Clara has experience tutoring first and second-year University level Chemistry. She also has a passion for creative writing, media studies, scientific writing, science communication and public speaking. Clara’s academic experience has given her many study skills and habits focussed on time management and prioritisation which she incorporates into her tutoring.
