Ronita Sharma has a Bachelor of Science with Distinction, with First Class Honours, and was chosen in a special cohort of 25 QLD Scientists and Matheticians to inject expertise into the education sector. Completing her Smart State Award with a Graduate Bachelor of Education specialising in Senior Science and Junior Science and Mathematics, she has taught full-time for 8 years in QLD, both in state and private education settings, for 18 months in B.C. Canada and for 2 years in New Zealand. During that time she has been the Subject Co-ordinator for Senior Biology, Welfare Team Leader for 3 years and has successfully delivered learning within 3 different countries' curricula. Ronita has also been a blended and online learning designer in the tertiary sector for 3 years. Being a University Tutor during her undergraduate years, and being a camp facilitator at the national Summer Camp for Girls in Maths and Science together served as the springboard for Ronita pursuing an interest in helping learners understand complex concepts. Ronita always meets her learners, gets to know their goals, strengths, weaknesses and personal traits, then designs learning experiences to take her learners from here to understanding. Her core driver is understanding. Whether this is for a particular concept or for an entire subject, understanding unlocks a topic for life.
