Jacob graduated from Norwood International High School in 2023 as the DUX of the school with an ATAR of 99.45. He achieved subject merits in Mathematical Methods (20/20) , Specialist Mathematics (19.9/20), and Economics (19.5/20), along with an A+ in Accounting (19.3/20) and A in Research Project (9.15/10). He was awarded the Mabel Tapp Prize from the University of Adelaide as the Year 12 student with the highest academic merit in Specialist Mathematics and Mathematical Methods. Jacob is patient with his students, ensuring that his they feel comfortable with his teaching, and that they understand what they are being taught. He places a strong emphasis on conceptual understanding; he goes through the mathematical concepts with students, ensuring they have a deep understanding of the maths they are doing, so they don't have to rely on their memory for mathematical success, but they actually have the tools to apply their conceptual knowledge to complex problems that they come up against."
