Independent and Catholic schools may have slightly different dates, so always check your school's calendar.

What's Different About 2027?
- Term 2 starts on a public holiday. Monday 26 April is the additional Anzac Day public holiday, so students are expected to return on Tuesday 27 April.
- Easter falls during Term 1. Good Friday (26 March) and Easter Monday (29 March) are public holidays in the middle of Term 1, which runs until 9 April.
- King's Birthday is in the spring holidays. Monday 27 September falls during the spring break.
- Term 4 finishes on a Thursday, on 16 December, and the summer holidays run until the 2028 school year starts on Wednesday 2 February.

Term dates are a great starting point for planning the whole year, not just holidays:
- Year 11 and 12 students: Understand how the WACE works and how your school-based assessment marks are calculated.
